From 1 Jan to 25 Mrch 2020, the Trauma Centre has seen 96 victims of crime or other circumstances creating trauma.

Physical, mental, psychological and / or financial abuse in Domestic violence still tops our list with the most victims seen.

Secondly, we saw a spike in sexual offenses with rapes and child molestation.  The perpetrator were mostly known to the victim.

Other offenses against women and children are also on the rise, eg. Harassment and child abuse

Drug abuse remains a constant problem where we see the families of the abusers who cannot cope with the circumstances any longer.  We also get the addict who needs a place to stay or wants to go to rehab.

Other cases include debriefings after robberies, support after suicide, mental health issues, problematic relationships, family problems, depression, etc.
